DOW-UAP-PR051 — titled in the AARO release notes as 'Syrian UAP instant acceleration' — is the kinematic standout sensor video of PURSUE Release 02. The encounter was recorded in 2021 on or near the Jordan-Syria border, within U.S. Central Command's area of responsibility, by an MQ-9 Reaper unmanned aerial system.

The video shows the Reaper's targeting system establishing what AARO's accompanying mission report describes as a 'weapons-quality lock' on the unidentified object. The object then exhibits two kinematic events that, in AARO's own characterization, exceed the publicly disclosed performance envelope of any known crewed or uncrewed aerial system: instantaneous acceleration from a steady-state observation, and abrupt direction changes inconsistent with conventional propulsion.

PR051 is one of two videos in Release 02 — alongside PR050, the four-UAP formation over water near Iran — that independent defense reporters have singled out as the most kinematically anomalous in the new batch. The MQ-9 Reaper provenance gives the encounter an unusual evidentiary footprint: the platform is a weapons system, the lock-on was instrument-confirmed, and the footage is full-resolution infrared sensor data rather than a handheld pilot recording.
