The UAP sightings map: 93 documented encounters on one globe

This is an interactive map of every UAP sighting in the Disclosure Archives record — 93 documented events across 22 countries, from 1944 to 2026. Every pin is a real entry in the archive: a dated case file with its primary government source, named witnesses where they exist on the record, and the photos, videos, and documents the case produced.

The globe also plots something no other UFO sightings map does: the headquarters of all 17 official government UAP-investigation agencies, past and present — AARO at the Pentagon, France's GEIPAN, Chile's CEFAA, the UK MoD's closed UFO desk, and more. Filter by year range or event type, watch the day/night terminator move in real time, and zoom out far enough and you'll find the Moon.

Every event pin has a Copy share link button — the URL reopens the globe zoomed to that exact case with its panel open. Year-range and type filters are encoded in the URL too, so the view you build is the view they see.

About this map

How many UAP sightings are on this map?
The map currently plots 93 documented UAP events across 22 countries, spanning 1944 to 2026, alongside 17 official government UAP-investigation agencies pinned at their headquarters. Every pin opens a dated, sourced case file.
Where does the sighting data come from?
Every event on the map is backed by a primary source: government hearings, declassified documents, DoD/AARO/ODNI releases, NASA records, FOIA files, or named witness testimony given on the record. The case file behind each pin links directly to its original source, and new events are added as official releases drop.
What are the two kinds of pins?
Event pins mark documented UAP encounters at the location where they happened. Agency pins mark the headquarters of every official government UAP-investigation program, past and present — from AARO at the Pentagon to France's GEIPAN and Chile's CEFAA. Click an event for its case file; click an agency for its archive.
Can I link to a specific sighting on the globe?
Yes. Open any event pin and use "Copy share link" — the URL (for example /globe?event=uss-nimitz-tic-tac-2004) reopens the globe zoomed to that exact event with its case panel open. Filters for year range and event type are also encoded in the URL, so any view you build is shareable.
Can I put this map on my own website?
A free embeddable timeline widget with the same dataset is available at /embed — one iframe line, no key required. It's used by UAP newsletters, blogs, and video descriptions to give readers a live view of the record.
Why does the map show the Moon?
A handful of documented events in the record are lunar-adjacent — Apollo crew debriefs among them — so the globe renders the Moon at its real orbital position, with its own event pins. Zoom out and click it.
