Luis Elizondo

Former U.S. Department of Defense intelligence official; described as the director of the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP)

On camera in The Age of Disclosure: Speaks on his time leading AATIP, the resistance he describes encountering from DoD officials, and his post-resignation public advocacy.

Luis Elizondo is a former U.S. Department of Defense intelligence official who has stated publicly and under oath that he led the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP) from approximately 2010 until his resignation from DoD in October 2017[1]. His resignation letter, addressed to then-Secretary of Defense James Mattis, cited frustration with what he described as official obstruction of UAP investigations[2].

Elizondo's account was central to the December 2017 New York Times article that opened the modern UAP record[3]. He has since testified before the House Oversight Committee[4] and authored the 2024 memoir Imminent.
